Social support among the old people is the most different, therefore it is hard to identify its different types. The ones are the things that are needed and thus the elderly should consider such their support networks, as those comprised of the most important forms.

 

1. Emotional Support

 

    • Offering love, care, and empathy together with a smile

 

    • Having a hearty talk and keeping them company as a listener

 

    • Ensuring them to have company and being their guide so as to manage isolation and depression.

 

2. Instrumental Support

 

    • Completing daily chores such as cooking, cleaning, and personal cleanliness

 

    • Arctic travellers to ride into appointments or accompanying them to parties for fun

 

    • Giving them money they needed

 

3. Informational Support

 

    • Advising and guiding

 

    • Navigating the healthcare system and other assistance services

 

    • Finding out what local community at different places offers and reports on such services

 

4. Social Network Support

 

    • The facilitation of the connections (with other members and community)

 

    • Activities that have been planned and social events that have been organized are the result of the organization

 

    • They contribute to the venture by being a part of recreation groups or senior centers

 

5. Esteem Support

 

    • Therefore, showing the elderly that they are giving a noticeable and unique impact on the whole society

 

    • Independence can be gained only when decisions are made on their own and hence they should be given the responsibility

 

    • Imparting wisdom upon them through both the demonstration of respect and the expression of gratitude

 

The above examples are very typical which are frequently provided. The infringer can be a family member, friend, caregiver, and so on. Various perks for an elder can be provided with a combination of the listed supports and thus holistic living is expected.
